2026 Allergen Update
At Pretzel Pete we know the importance of allergen protocols and being transparent regarding allergens with our customers.
Ever since we started our own manufacturing in 2016, we have maintained a strict policy that confined the allergens in our facility to only wheat and dairy. None of the other “Big 9” allergens have been permitted in our building including banning allergens in our staff break rooms and vending machines. This allergen position has been reflected on our packaging. However, in the latter part of 2025, we began producing some products that contain peanut butter.
This production is completely isolated in a separate part of our manufacturing facility using completely segregated equipment. These procedures have been designed to insure that any risk of peanut contamination in any of our other manufacturing areas is minimized to the greatest degree possible. The production staff that work in this segregated area of our facility utilize a separate entrance, bathrooms and break room than the staff that work in the rest of our facility.
We are in the process of completing the updates to our packaging for our regular products that reflect that there is not shared equipment/risk of cross-contamination with peanuts.
In the meantime, we confirm that the following allergens are still not used either as an ingredient or permitted in our building: Tree Nuts, Sesame, Soy, Eggs, Shellfish and fish.
