2025 Allergen Update
At Pretzel Pete we know the importance of allergen protocols and being transparent regarding allergens with our customers.
Ever since we started our own manufacturing in 2016, we have maintained a strict policy that confined the allergens in our facility to only wheat and dairy. None of the other “Big 9” allergens have been permitted in our building including banning allergens in our staff break rooms and vending machines. This allergen position has been reflected on our packaging. During the second quarter of 2025, we anticipate that we will begin production of some products that will include peanut butter and/or tree nuts.
This production will occur in a segregated part of our manufacturing facility and on completed segregated equipment. These procedures will insure that there will not be any exposed peanut or tree nut ingredients in any of our other manufacturing areas or utilizing any equipment that is used for our regular pretzel products.
Due to these changes in 2025, we will be updating the packaging for our regular products to reflect that there is not shared equipment or risk of cross contamination with peanuts or tree nuts.
In the meantime, we confirm that the following allergens are still not used either as an ingredient or permitted in our building: Sesame, Soy, Eggs, Shellfish and fish.
